The Trademark Sunrise launch phase for .co.com is scheduled to open on February 24, 2014. This new domain is the answer to a saturated ‘.com’ naming space–and it offers businesses a second opportunity to build a strong online presence using a short, memorable web address that still ends in .com.
- Phase 1—Trademark Sunrise :: Scheduled to open February 24, 2014 and remain open through March 25, 2014.
- Phase 2—Landrush Period :: Scheduled to open April 8, 2014 and remain open through July 8, 2014.
- Phase 3—General Availability :: Scheduled to open May 28, 2014.
The TM Sunrise period is specifically for TM holders to register domains that are the exact match to the existing corresponding trademark(s). It is also important to note that only TM holders who have received a valid signed mark data (SMD) file may apply for an exact match domain name during the Sunrise period for this new .co.com domain extension.
