As you may be aware, registering a Portugal (.pt) domain name can be difficult due to strict rules. Although you are not required to have a local presence in Portugal, the domain name you are requesting must be similar to your company or trademark name which can be registered anywhere in the world.
Safenames are pleased to announce that, as of May 2008, this rule will no longer be in place, and a ‘no restriction’ policy will be adopted, allowing any company to register any available domain name they wish.
