The Sunrise period for CO.NO domains has concluded on January 31st. Trademark holders no longer have the ability to submit a domain application with priority. However, the General Availability (‘Go Live’) of CO.NO will begin on Tuesday 22 February 2011 at 14:00 GMT. During General Availability, application requests can be made by individuals or companies without any restriction or priority rights, and will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Unlike .NO domains, registration of CO.NO domains does not require a local presence in Norway and there are no limitations to the number of domains that can be registered by the same person or entity. A list of reserved domains has been established by the registry, that includes offensive or confusing names and certain premium names, that will not available for registration
The registry has communicated that all successful Sunrise applications will be provisioned and will be active before the start of the General Availability period.
If you have any questions regarding general availability for CO.NO registrations, please contact your Safenames account manager.
